Customer Request
Farmer and business owner Rhys Jenkins of Wild Wales Seeds, based in Rhoose opposite Cardiff Airport, required CCTV security across his three farms: Model Farm, Blackton Farm, and Old Wallace Farm. With multiple sites and valuable assets, reliable surveillance was essential for protecting property, staff, and livestock.
Solution
Dyfed CCTV delivered a tailored system for each location:
-
Model Farm – Installed a Hikvision PTZ camera with NVR for full yard coverage.
-
Blackton Farm (Wild Wales Seeds) – Installed a PTZ and turret camera for the business yard, plus turret cameras at the main house. Wi-Fi bridges were used to link the shed and house systems seamlessly.
-
Old Wallace Farm, Dyffryn – Installed a PTZ, four turret cameras, and an office monitor to provide full perimeter and residential coverage.
Our team carefully planned the cabling and connectivity across the large rural sites to ensure a robust, integrated solution.
Outcome
The new CCTV systems provide comprehensive coverage across all three farms, enhancing security for both the business and Rhys Jenkins’ family homes. With centralised monitoring and remote access, Rhys can check on his sites anytime, anywhere.
Since the installation, Rhys has been so satisfied with the results that he has personally recommended Dyfed CCTV to at least half a dozen other local farms and businesses, many of whom have already contacted us for their own installations.
